The greatest fear
What would you say the greatest fear of all is, dear reader?
Fear of being seen in a bad light by others, fear of opinion? Is that why the human race so crazily and so obsessively strives for conformity?
Or, maybe fearing the unknown is the big daddy of fears? The fear of death, failure or rejection? The fear of losing ones freedom? Public speaking rates highly on this foul list also, whenever surveys are taken apparently.
But the greatest fear is none of those. The greatest fear is greater than all of those combined. And that is no flippant statement, no colourful written obfuscation aimed at building drama and heightening mystery.
The fear that is infinitely greater than all of the above combined is the fear of God, or the Creator, as I prefer to call the great IT.
You see that’s why we cling to darkness, pretending to chase the light but in reality treating the light as our kryptonite. That is also the reason god found in the Bible and other so called holy writs is a bloodthirsty, lying, dog of a thing, to be avoided and feared at all costs. That is why the concept of sin exists. The- You will forever rot in hell, with Lucifer’s pitchfork firmly stuck up your clacker, message is quoted over, and over, written differently in case you miss it the first time. A couple of examples, just to make the point;
“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters, and all liars – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.
And throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Pays to be a dentist there, with all that gnashing of teeth and whatnot.
Those are just a couple of examples. There are many, and just in one of ego’s books. Granted, this one is its all time best seller.
Here’s the thing. We are not human beings. We are not ego. We are not this collective rebel of mutineers that overthrew Creator and usurped his power. Hiding out on a blue planet pretending to be superior to everything else. We are pretending to be those things, playing out macabre roles in a ridiculous play called life.
We are children of Creation, children of Light, or the One True God, if you prefer. What’s more Creation, light, God is within us, forever. So awesome and incredible are our powers we can for a time comatose ourselves, pretend to pass out and dream a nightmare, and call that nightmare life. Our power allows us to do that. But our power as ridiculously awesome as it is, cannot, nor will it ever be able to, overpower the Creator. That very reality should be of extreme comfort, and it should also show, clearly, unambiguously, that the Creator is in no way meaning us harm. Putting it crudely, with a power much greater than ours, if He wanted to harm us, he could, without raising a sweat.
Self told lie: We believe that we have committed an unpardonable deed. A deed we call the separation.
Truth: We have done nothing wrong. We were created by Love, as Love, and still are Love.
